I think I can understand why some people might oppose to Pekka Haavisto. The president is, after all, a kind of a figurehead for the whole country. | Haavisto might create somehow false notions about Finns as a nation. | Uh… how do you mean?

Well, you know, someone might start to think that all Finns are smart, open and unprejudiced people… | Yeah, I guess. That could be kinda misleading advertising.

I knit these hybrid mittens/ fingerless gloves for being able to read outside during winter. I am aiming for maximum coverage for hands while still leaving three fingers free on both hands for turning the pages.

Removal of my wisdom teeth was much less horrible than I thought. And I got an excuse to avoid work for a day or two.

Hyvää uutta vuotta 2012. Tänä vuonna yritän jatkaa päivittämistä vähintään kerran viikossa, minkä lisäksi pyrin kääntämään päivitykseni myös englanniksi. Korjaukset ja rakentavat ehdotukset ovat tervetulleita. Valitettavasti en usko, että jaksan tekstata kaikkea erikseen englanniksi, joten tekstitykset saavat luvan riittää ainakin suurimman osan aikaa.

Happy New Year 2012. This year I am going to try and continue my last years resolution of updating my blog at least once a week. In addition, I will try to translate my entries into English. Corrections and suggestions for improvements are welcome. Most of the time I probably won’t have time or energy to do lettering in both Finnish and English, so subtitles will have to do for now.
